Kalyra Heights Village

Located on a 20-acre site in the Adelaide Hills, the fourteen  independent living dwellings consist of seven 3 bedroom, double storey duplexes with large open-plan living and dining areas, and double garages.

The design intent for this project was to embrace the natural topography of the land, preserve the existing trees on-site and seamlessly integrate the dwellings into the landscape.

The scale and proportions of the duplexes have been carefully considered to maintain unobstructed views for neighbouring properties, optimising the panoramic vistas for each duplex and striking a balance between occupant privacy and views of the natural surroundings.

Working with the complexities of the sloping, bushfire-zoned site, several environmentally-friendly initiatives were integrated to ensure a responsible and sustainably conscious development. This included stormwater detention and reuse, utilisation of alternative energy sources, and solar hot water heating.

The Kalyra Heights Village offers residents comfortable, functional and sustainabe living that celebrates the unique surrounding landscape and achieves a harmony between the natural environment and the built form.
