About

The Woodville Hockey Club Redevelopment project was a comprehensive project focused on modernising and expanding the club’s facilities to support female participation in sports.

The project involved demolishing and rebuilding the existing changeroom and clubroom building to accommodate unisex changerooms, emphasizing inclusivity. Additionally, the development featured a commercial-grade canteen, bar, and clubroom to enhance the overall experience for members and visitors.

The construction included the creation of four new changerooms, each equipped with modern amenities, to accommodate the club’s growing membership. An umpires room and storage facilities were also incorporated to provide a comfortable and organised space for officials and equipment management.

SMFA contributed their expertise in feasibility and partial documentation, while Mykra Constructions oversaw the project’s completion. The result is a contemporary and welcoming facility that not only meets the evolving needs of the Woodville Hockey Club but also fosters a sense of community and equality among its members, ensuring its relevance for years to come.
