West Lakes Aquatic Reserve

A key focus of the project was the careful planning and organization of shared spaces, which involved extensive consultation with the Council and various end users. The newly constructed facility boasts a range of amenities, including unisex changerooms, accessible facilities, an office, a meeting room, a kitchen/servery, and boat storage spaces. In addition, public amenities were incorporated to cater to the needs of visitors.

The design of the new boat shed took into account the public interface with the Reserve, safety for both the public and end users, integration with the existing boat shed, and the constraints of the site itself.

The new facility seamlessly integrates into its surroundings while meeting the diverse requirements of all stakeholders to provide a space for both the public and club members to enjoy.
